Ayodele Issues Spiritual Warning to Atiku, ADC Over October 31 Campaign Kickoff, Predicts Setback
Ayodele gave the warning in a video shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday, where he cautioned the ADC leadership against proceeding with the scheduled date.

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) against proceeding with their planned October 31, 2026, presidential campaign kickoff, predicting possible setbacks if the party ignores his warning.
The outspoken cleric urged the opposition party to reconsider its campaign calendar and move the commencement of its activities to November, insisting that October 31 was not spiritually favourable for the party and its presidential ambition.
Ayodele gave the warning in a video shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday, where he cautioned the ADC leadership against proceeding with the scheduled date.
According to the cleric, going ahead with the October 31 kickoff could expose the party to difficulties capable of affecting its political activities.
"Change the date of your campaign commencement from 31 October to any date in November," Ayodele declared.
He further warned that the party could encounter an unexpected setback if it ignored the advice.
"I am seeing a setback if you start on October 31. The date is not good. Move it to any date in November, then you can have a smooth sail," he said.
The cleric maintained that his intervention was based on spiritual revelation rather than personal interest, urging Atiku and other ADC leaders to take the warning seriously.
He described himself as a spiritual father offering guidance and cautioned that the party should not dismiss the message.
The warning comes at a politically significant moment as opposition parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the ADC seeking to position itself as a major platform in the contest against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Atiku, who is expected to lead the ADC's presidential campaign, remains a prominent figure in the unfolding opposition political realignment ahead of the next presidential election.
Ayodele is known for making prophetic pronouncements on Nigeria's political developments, particularly during election seasons. His predictions frequently attract considerable attention and generate heated reactions across social media platforms.
However, the cleric's latest warning has placed the ADC's October 31 campaign kickoff under an unusual spotlight, raising questions about whether the party will reconsider its timetable or proceed with its planned political mobilisation.
For now, it remains to be seen whether Atiku and the ADC leadership will heed the cleric's warning or maintain October 31 as the date for their campaign commencement.
