Tinubu Departs for Europe on Year-End Leave, Set to Attend Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Lagos for Europe to commence his end-of-year break, the Presidency has confirmed.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said Tinubu will later travel from Europe to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 (ADSW 2026) Summit, scheduled for early January.
According to the statement, the Nigerian leader was invited to the summit by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is an annual global forum that brings together world leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to discuss sustainable development and climate-related challenges.
Further details of the president’s itinerary were not disclosed.
